POTLUCK is an online fundraiser and two-week ceramic celebration from October 19 to October 31, 2020 which includes virtual clay workshops, online artist conversations, studio tours, and other online programming featuring artists that have been part of Craft Contemporary’s projects. 🆓 Our friends at Ceramic Review are granting everyone free access (until October 26) to their digital archive containing over 300 issues in honor of Oxford Ceramics Fair, which will not take place this year. Go read their articles and discover amazing artists in the archive.
👌 Applications for British Ceramics Biennial 2021 AWARD exhibition are now open for UK-based artists. AWARD is the British Ceramics Biennial’s headline exhibition that celebrates the vitality and standing of contemporary ceramics practice in the UK.
👌 Applications are also open to Collect | Israeli Ceramics 2021, an exhibition which features a selection of the best Israeli artists and designers working with ceramics. Information in Hebrew.
📍 Ceramicus 2020, the Wellington Potters' Association 62nd annual showcase of contemporary ceramics starts later this week.
✅ The American Museum of Ceramic Arts (AMOCA) just announced the first national virtual open studio and sale event for ceramic artists. Participation fees range from $150-$250 and the event is open for US-based artists.
🔍 A Curious Subconscious: The Ceramic Work of Peter Callas is on view at Saratoga Clay Arts Center’s Schacht Gallery / Earth, Air, Fire & Water is on view at Onishi Gallery / A Station in Time is on view at the Benyamini Contemporary Ceramics Center
