#11 – An interview about an international ceramics residency center
Ceramics Now Weekly #11 features an interview about Sundaymorning@ekwc, new artists and exhibitions, and the week's news in the ceramics world.
Hello! Welcome to the 11th edition of Ceramics Now Weekly. This is Vasi Hirdo, the founding editor of Ceramics Now.
I hope you’re doing great today 👋 Let’s see what’s new.
An interview with the director of Sundaymorning@ekwc
A few months ago we interviewed Ranti Tjan, the director of Sundaymorning@ekwc, an international artist-in-residence and center-of-excellence for ceramics based in Oisterwijk, The Netherlands. We asked him to present our readers with the center’s activities and plans. Here’s the interview.
"At the moment I’m working on the EKWC 2030 Plan, thinking about how a residency like ours can still be relevant in 2030. We have to change to stay the same, we have to change to catch up, we have to change to be relevant. We have to change to keep up with the rest of the world and think about all these contemporary issues, like what it means to be part of the Anthropocene. There is so much to do, it makes me nervous!" Ranti
