This last summer we opened our first weekly newsletter announcing that applications are open for this year's Officine Saffi Award. 📍 Join this year's Australian Ceramics Open Studios event! Hosted by The Australian Ceramics Association, over 100 ceramics studios – including many in and around Australia’s capital cities and regional centers – open their doors to offer insight, demonstrations and the chance to take home a handmade artwork.
👌 The Ceramic House presents JOY, an exhibition featuring an international selection of established and emerging ceramists. The virtual exhibition opens on Zoom on November 21st - expect a house tour, interviews with participating artista and extracts from a music performance titled The Joy of Isolation.
🖌 The International Ceramics Studio Kecskemét in Hungary is organizing an intensive online workshop with Wendy Kershaw: Illustrating on Clay.

⚫ The ceramic art community is sad to learn about the passing of Polish ceramic artist Maciej Kasperski (b. 1969). I had the pleasure to collaborate with Maciej for the first exhibition I ever organized, as well as for the first issue of Ceramics Now Magazine. A truly inspiring artist and teacher.
🎓 The School of Art and Design, New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University, seeks an exceptional artist and educator for a full time tenure track faculty position in Mixed Media Sculpture. Job posted on November 13.
🗾 KOGEI Art Fair Kanazawa 2020 started online earlier this week. This is the only art fair in Japan that specializes in crafts, gathering 22 galleries from Japan and abroad.
