#18 – A book to inspire future ceramic artists
Ceramics Now Weekly #18 features the week's news in the ceramics world, a book about the life of a potter, a job board and new artists.
Hello! Welcome to the 18th edition of Ceramics Now Weekly. This is Vasi Hirdo, the founding editor of Ceramics Now.
I hope you are doing well today 👋 Let’s see what's new.
A book to inspire future ceramic artists
Mary Fox, one of Canada's finest potters, recently launched her book "My Life as a Potter", in a quest to inspire future ceramic artists. This book is for anyone who has ever been curious about the life of a professional potter, anyone hoping to become a potter themselves and anyone who believes that art has the power to guide us through life's myriad challenges and hardships.
Another aspect of the book is the Legacy Project — an artist residency that will operate out of her home and studio commencing in 2022. Read this interview to learn more about Mary’s book & project.
